The Cycle

A spoonful of debauchery,
Scoop or two of insanity,
Feeds the mouth of hyprocisy,
And offends the wise man's wishes.

The wise man will not dispute acts
That he engages in as well.
Convoluted thoughts trick the mind:
Lies are truth if we all believe.

Ill-fated deeds designed to wreck,
A tainted tongue tarred and stained black,
Burning lungs make the wise man sick.
The ties that bind begin to rip.

And then the wise man's eyes are gouged.
Blinded, he no longer sees straight,
And sins of ignorance, resolved -
So equilibrium returns.
